Designed by OgilvyAction and presented by journalist Cristina Parodi, together with our CEO Roberto Bianco, this event was introduced by various experts in the field of intralogistics such as professor Enzo Baglieri and professor Gino Marchet. The appropriate technical introduction was followed by a more symbolic, artistic part, where the fluid, acrobatic and explosive language of modern dance illustrated the most innovative characteristics of Smoov: flexibility, strength, precision, smartness, dynamism and versatility.

From research to the first pilot project

The Tormaresca vineyard, part of the Gruppo Antinori, was the first to use the ASRV system at its modern winery in the countryside of the Upper Salento at Masseria Maime. A two-level warehouse, with 800 pallets that store packaged boxes of wine, which is controlled via wireless using 2 ASRV vehicles who handle between 15-20 pallets per hour in a temperature-controlled environment.

1st Installation - Sector: Metal furniture

A company specialised in the production of metal cabinets and racking installed a Smoov system in its premises in Montecorvino Pugliano in the province of Salerno. This inter-operational, fully automatic warehouse has 700 pallet spaces spread over 3 levels and contains 2 lifts for moving between floors and 4 automatic in/out bays. Inside the warehouse 3 ASRV vehicles handle around 40 metal baskets per hour during each shift.

Development of the new generation of ASRV begins

Following in-depth discussion with the market, the new generation of ASRV came into being with a completely new design to enable integrated material handling solutions using standard drive-in racking.

2nd Installation - Sector: Automotive industry

A company specialised in the development and manufacture of electric car windows chose Smoov ASRV to automate their warehouse at their Albavilla premises near Como.
A 6-metre high warehouse with 700 pallet spaces spread over 4 levels, in which an ASRV handles around 15 pallets per hour in a single shift. The warehouse is equipped with 1 lift, 4 recharging cells and 2 in/out bays.

May 2012

3rd Installation - Sector: Automotive industry

A company specialised in the design and manufacture of power transmission systems using belts manufactured on their premises in Mathi, near Turin. This Smoov ASRV warehouse has 3,600 pallet spaces, spread over 4 levels in which 8 ASRV handle around 80 pallets per hour over two shifts of eight hours each. The warehouse was equipped with 10 automatic bays, 5 for picking and 5 for refilling, 2 lifts and 8 charging cells.
