Re-inventing automation, while keeping accessibility in mind, requires more than just a vision. With Smoov ASRV Generation 2 we wanted to go beyond the existing limits and engineer a new highly-accessible technology which is both flexible and scalable and can be used to introduce a more democratic element to intra-logistic automation.
To achieve this, we have re-invented every element to make our ASRV universal: compatible with every type of drive-in racking on the market.
The result is not only a new ASRV vehicle: it represents the future of automated warehouses.

Universal

A new standard of construction

All of its structural elements are standard and generally available on the market which allows for incredibly simple and fast production processes and installation.
The pallet racking profiles are the same as those used by one-way radio-shuttle systems. Movement of the ASRV along the service corridors does not require complex rail systems, simple crossbeams are all that are used.
The total absence of support rails reduces the manufacturing complexity and general system costs.

Agile and nippy

Innovation on two levels

The uniqueness of Smoov ASRV Generation 2 lies in its innovation system of wheels; 16 in total, with a group of independent wheels for each direction of travel, arranged on two different levels.
To activate movement in the direction required, the wheels move up and down vertically.

Designed with performance in mind

With a new digital motor, excellent performance speed (2m/s) and control over movement, it offers even greater efficiency.
Now easier to install, for Smoov G2 the electrical wiring and cabling have been greatly simplified.
Quick and easy to install

It never runs out of energy

Up to 10 hours of battery life following each complete charge cycle, thanks to its 48V 70Ah LiPO batteries.
Replacing the batteries has been made even faster, without the need to raise the ASRV.

Stable and safe

An unbeatable combination of stability, performance and control without the need for strict requirements in terms of tolerance

Two sets of 3 drive wheels allow the ASRV to access the storage aisle, while in the opposite direction a pair of drive wheels ensure movement along the service aisle.
A gradual transition between the service aisle and storage aisle is made possible by drive wheels that retract or extend to run along the cross beams. Guide rollers provide great stability and better traction control as the unit accelerates.
The racking structure ensures that the mechanical guidance of the vehicle remains simple and reliable under all conditions.
